Video # 14 = SF or Lisboa? Watch Above first for maximum comic impact.

Sunday April 22, 2007
Amsterdam was wonderful, a truly beautiful, efficient city. You should see it and break the western trend of thinking it's a dirty smut-filled pot fest. Here's 2 cents of mine from the heart of the Red-Light District.

Friday April 20, 2007
I'm in Amsterdam. This computer is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am in love with the floating unicorn.

Just kidding, I'm not on drugs. But I am riding a bike (very common in Amsterdam) here in this video:

Philly's "Jim's Steaks" gets my vote as best cheesesteak. Try it with
"whiz" and mushrooms.

New York is the best city on earth.

I think an old guy died at the bar during my show at the Abbey Lounge in Boston.

Barking Spider's "Martin" is a nice fellow who is a big and honest fan of folk music.

Indianapolis has no music scene but nice sound people.

The Chicago Cubs fucking suck. But their stadium is the best in the
world. No jumbotron distractions.

We met "The Silent Type" in Chicago, a Richmond,VA band and made friends. They're good check them out.

The night we played Omaha, Bright Eyes was doing a show in town. Bad luck.

Kansas City is a great place, and we ran into The Silent Type again
and stayed with some cool guys at the Rush Publications office and
climbed up rather unsafely to their rooftop and got the best view of
the rather impressive KC Skyline.

We visited Mickey Mantles home in Commerce, Oklahoma and asked directions from a guy that happened to own the property, and his family had bought it from the Mick. He gave us copies of the deed that MM signed.

We did a set of open mics in St Louis and Tulsa and it was hotter than hell. Both were cool venues with nice folks!

I hit and slaughtered a big racoon that darted in the road in Salina
Kansas and it really destroyed the front of my car. I need to replace
the whole panel now. I had hope that maybe the racoon survived until i saw both parts of his carcass on opposite sides of the road.

Note: Hotels in Denver book up really fast during Star Wars conventions.

I will embark tomorrow on the long drive from Denver to LA via Las
Vegas. Good bye cool mountain air. Hello 110 degree deserts. I'll
check my coolant.

Thursday, June 8, 2006
The road with Jason Reischel is great. We get along well and we are
playing lots and lots of shows to great crowds.

New Orleans needs help.

Little Rock kids know how to party (Cause it's all there is to do)!

Asheville, NC is gorgeous.

Don't try driving in Washington DC unless you're on sedatives so you don't get overwhelmed.

Virginia is one big speeding trap.

I thought I knew what a shitty hotel room was until I was introduced
to the "Scottish Inn" in Bessemer, Alabama.

Nashville would be a great place to be if you're already successful in
music, but trying to come up in their scene is close to impossible.
Everyone is a musician so you're just one in a million.

Fenians Pub is the only friendly bar in Jackson, Mississippi.

NPR is great listening while driving.

More later....

- Avi
